Graduates

John Eckstein

John is majoring in Industrial and Systems Engineering and has also completed a minor in Computer Science. John has been making websites for several years and enjoys programming in PHP, JavaScript, and SQL.

When not working John enjoys programming, running, and spending time with friends.

William Robinson

William is a junior Computer Science major with minors in History and Math. William has 2 years of experience in HTML and Java.

When not working, William enjoys Tae Kwon Do, video games, anime and listening to music.

Shane Rooney

Shane is a fourth year Business Information Technology student. He has certification in HTML/CSS development as well as Oracle database design/management.

When not working Shane can often be found playing basketball or various video games with friends. He is also a foosball aficionado and has yet to lose a game on the table in his apartment.

Michael Irwin

Michael Irwin is a fourth year Computer Science student. He has been developing websites for several years, working with several different non-profit organizations and small businesses. He enjoys helping others benefit from technology.

When not at work, Michael enjoys spending time with friends, family, and his new wife! He is very active with his church and enjoys spending time outdoors, doing everything from sports to camping.

Sumeru Datta

Sumeru is a Junior in Electrical Engineering. He spent a year working as a website developer in Pamplin School of Business. He started making websites when he was a Sophomore.

When he is away from his computer, Sumeru enjoys playing cricket, listening to music, watching movies and chatting with friends.

Brian Sewell

Brian is a 5th year Senior in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He spent some time in Computer Science and then switched to ISE at the beginning of the Spring of 2008. Brian started making websites when he was a freshman in high school. He's made a few websites for student organizations, small businesses, and a good amount for himself. He is also an avid photographer and is the director of photography for the Virgina Tech student media organization, Planet Blacksburg.

When he is away from his computer, Brian enjoys photography, snowboarding, the outdoors, and quoting the Back to the Future movies.

Kevin Cupp

Kevin is a 4th-year Business Information Technology major. He's been creating web pages since the age of 8, and enjoys it so much, he thought he would try making it his job. In addition to web development, Kevin also spends much time editing video and performing other related services for the Athletics Video Department at Virginia Tech.

In his spare time, Kevin enjoys photography, podcasting, biking, playing piano, and even some more web development.

After leaving the BEV, Kevin went to work with New City Media.

Ryan Huber

Ryan Huber is a fourth year Visual Communication and Design major, focusing on web usability and interactive design. Ryan has experience with creative skills including Graphic Design, Flash development, and video editing.

Outside of design, Ryan has spent four years on the Virginia Tech lacrosse team, two of which as a Captain. He enjoys Hokie sports, and spending time with good friends.

After leaving the BEV, Ryan went to work with Sq1 Agency in Dallas, TX.

Brad Gignac

Brad is a senior in Computer Engineering with a focus on computer networks and software usability. Since Web Support Services' inception, he has been working with clients to produce high-quality websites. Outside of work, you can find Brad playing his guitar, snowboarding, and wakeboarding.

Whitney Mullins

Whitney was a Spring 2008 graduate in Music Technology and then began her first year of grad school in Instructional Design and Technology. Whitney has been working on expanding her knowledge of XHTML, CSS, PHP, and mySQL. In her (little) spare time, she likes napping, watching baseball, and spending time with her husband, two dogs, two cats, and bird.

Wes Baker

Wes is in his fourth and final year in Business Information Technology with a focus in web development and web design. With more than six years of experience he has seen technologies come and go. He has a strong interest in accessibility and standards based design, adhering to strict valid code whenever possible. When he's not working or studying, you can find him reading, listening to music or spending time with his fiancée.

Rob Szumski

Rob is a third year Industrial Design major in the School of Architecture + Design. Rob has strengthened his previous knowledge of HTML/CSS and Photoshop while at the Web Support Service along with learning the Drupal content management system. In the little spare time between work, studio and class, Rob enjoys a good game of tennis or soccer with friends.

Zach Rattner

Zach was a freshman Computer Engineering major when he joined the team in April 2008. He works with XHTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript to make usable web sites. When not working, Zach enjoys running and playing electric bass.
